About us

Baxter Payne & Haigh has been established in Bicester since May 1983. We have four Principals and employ a further 20 staff serving businesses and private clients both in and around the town, throughout Oxfordshire and further afield. 

As Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors we advise over a thousand clients. Our portfolio includes private clients, sole traders, partnerships and sizeable owner managed companies. Our services cover not only the full spectrum of compliance requirements (tax and audit), but also outsourced support in areas such as accounting and payroll as well as general business advice on planning and finance issues. 

Our sector experience is wide-ranging but we have a particular track record of working with businesses in the construction, manufacturing, agriculture, licensed trade, computer software, new media, financial services, recruitment and graphic design fields, as well as advising solicitors and other professional firms, medical and dental practices, trusts and charities. 

Our convenient location in Bicester gives us excellent transport links to the whole of the M40 corridor region, with easy access to the business centres of Oxford, Birmingham, London, Southampton Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Banbury and Buckingham. We have and continue to invest in state-of-the-art IT capability that enables us to communicate effectively with our clients, wherever they are in the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.

Stuart Haigh BSc FCCA
Qualified: 1988
With BPH: since 1983, becoming a Partner in 1990.  Appointed a Director in April 2011 when the Baxter Payne & Haigh partnership incorporated.
Experience: over 25 year's experience in private practice and previously in the publishing sector. Assists locally as a Citizens Advice Bureau Counsellor.
Client portfolio: foreign subsidiaries, property development, IT, chemical industry, publishing and dental practices.

Marie Morgan FCCA
Qualified: 2004
With BPH: since 2002 as a part qualified trainee, qualifying in 2004.  Appointed an Associate in April 2011 when the Baxter Payne & Haigh partnership incorporated.
Experience: 12 years experience in private practice in the Oxfordshire area.
Client portfolio: Individuals and small and medium sized business in varying trades and professions that include the building trade, professional consultants, property ownership and owner-managed companies.

Penny Parmar FCA

Experience: over 25 years in private practice, with particular expertise in Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax compliance and planning. Member of both the Audit and Assurance and Tax Faculties and the Farming and Solicitors Groups of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Professional Member of the National Farmers Union and Member of the Agricultural Law Association.
